Your Seacrest High School Class of 1965 Reunion planning group has been busy working on our next Class Reunion. We have scheduled our 60th Reunion to be held this fall, November 6-8. We have lined up fantastic venues for several nice events and fun activities during those three days. It will be a terrific time to get together and be reacquainted with old friends in balmy November Florida weather.
*If any of you are in contact with
others from the Class of 65, please reach out to them to
Here is the schedule for our Reunion:
Thursday November 6 Evening
A welcome reception that evening at the Sandbar/Boston’s on Ocean Avenue on the beach just a half block south of Atlantic Avenue (cash bar). We are inviting any Seacrest alums that would like to see old friends.
Friday November 7
Morning -
11AM to 3PM for an informal get
together in Liz's front yard Evening – From 7PM to 10PM A dinner dance in a large private room at the beautiful Benvenuto Restaurant (1730 N Federal Hwy, Boynton Beach, FL 33435), which is an old Mizner designed building that was restored and set up to handle weddings, anniversaries and other special occasion events. Due to limited seating, this is available only to Class of 1965 alumni. (Cost $130 per person, which includes dinner, the music, and the private room)
Saturday November 8
9AM - 2PM We are encouraging as many of you that can make it to meet up at the Delray Green Market at Old School Square. Wide variety of farm fresh foods, smoothies and live music. Should be a lot of fun.
Saturday November 8 – 1:30PM
Delray Yacht Cruises - Several of our classmates went on this nice intracoastal cruise at our last reunion. The cost for seniors (I think we all qualify) is $35 plus tax. You can pay this at the time of the cruise. Boarding is at 801 East Atlantic Avenue.
Saturday November 8 Evening
Drinks at the Colony Hotel on Atlantic Avenue in the heart of Delray at 6PM, to be followed by various groups of old and new friends heading to dinner at the many restaurants that now line Atlantic Avenue and the surrounding areas.
We have also made arrangements with the Colony Hotel for special discount room rates ($129 to $189 per night) for classmates to make reservations. Staying there also gives you access to the Colony Cabana Club on the ocean with its gorgeous private pool and ocean setting to relax with classmates. The Hotel is also a short walk east on Atlantic Avenue to Delray’s famous beach.
You can make your own hotel reservations at the Colony Hotel
(561-276-4123). Tell the Colony Hotel you are with the Class of 1965 Reunion
and they will give you the discount rates. The dinner dance is the only event that requires advance reservation and purchase so that we can reserve the large private room and tell the Benvenuto Restaurant the number attending in advance. Rental of the Benvenuto Restaurant private banquet room requires a minimum of 55 attendees and a maximum of 75 attendees. That 55-75 people is consistent with attendance at our prior reunion dinner dance. This is the only event that will be restricted to the Class of ’65!
Please respond to this invitation by email as to whether you will attend our Class Reunion and please send a check for $130 per person for the dinner dance at the Benvenuto Restaurant made payable to:
Richard Pasley – Class Reunion 7350 Lake Worth Road Lake Worth, FL 33467
Richard will deposit your check in our Class Reunion account. None of the other events will require advance payment. Since the banquet room for the Friday dinner dance accommodates a maximum of 75 people, please send your check to Richard right away.
We are all looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible in November. Our basketball coach Norm Price has promised to join us for dinner. It will be a great gathering of Seahawks!
